CFI-PAC's on-site Rapid Prototyping operation, located at the CPP-Rancho facility, offers valuable time and cost savings over traditional tool fabrication methods. Prototype sizes range from 1/2" to 42", though larger patterns can be also accommodated.

Utilizing solid state laser technology, we can transfer CAD designs directly to 3D Stereolithographic patterns in a matter of hours, resulting in finished metal castings in a matter of days.

Our solid imaging technologies are used to generate product concept models, precision and functional prototypes, master patterns for tooling, and end-use production parts for direct manufacturing.

Capabilities and Services:

We offer Stereolithography Apparatus (SLA) and Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) rapid prototype options that include:

  • QuickCast
  • ACES
  • CastForm
  • DuraForm
Our Prototype Casting Services include:

  • Electronic Data Transfer
  • Product Design Assistance
  • Cast Prototype Development
  • Tool Making
  • Complete Casting Production
  • Non-destructive testing
  • Physical and Chemical Testing
  • Heat Treating
  • Secondary Machining
  • Plating, Painting or Coating
  • Casting Assembly

Using CPP’s SLA/SLS process, gating and shrink factors can be established for a seamless transition from prototyping to full production.

The Benefits of Prototyping:

  • Get your product to market faster than the competition
  • Eliminate costly design discrepancies and other flaws before production
  • Produce die-cast quality parts before investing in expensive and time-consuming production tooling
  • Acquire accurate product test data
  • Quickly attain parts suitable for U.L. testing
  • Discover and resolve production and manufacturability constraints
  • Provide sales and marketing samples or distribute functional product to key customers
  • Attain pre-production parts while ramping up to full production capability
  • Validate theoretical analysis throughout the product design cycle
